As a person of faith I believe in the value of each individual.  We are better together because of our diversity of experience and unique perspectives.

I believe in family and the power that comes as we learn to love, look after and care for each other.  I like to say, ”The family is the laboratory of love.”  It is here that we find opportunity for differences of opinion, a safe space to be unique and a chance to love unconditionally. 

 

I believe in the vision of America.  The freedoms fought and paid for by the blood of good men and women enable us to exercise the ability to choose for ourselves.  I believe this is one of the most basic and sacred tenants of our republic.  A government by the people and for the people.

 

I believe in fiscal responsibility.  There is a sacred trust bestowed upon those who make financial decisions on behalf of others.  We cannot tax our way to prosperity, but must be wise and judicious in our expenditures.

I believe with the Utah Republican Party that “The proper role of government at all levels is to protect each person's unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; and each individual's right to own and control property. Any other rights or privileges should be construed or applied in any way to infringe on our God-given unalienable rights."

 

I believe in and support the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights. It is my belief that these documents were inspired by the guiding hand of providence. They continue to be the last best hope and beacons of light recognized and emulated throughout the world.
